Privacy
We would rather be remembered for the celebration than for the paperwork — but you have a right to know what we do with your details. This page says so, plainly.
Who we are
La Memoirette is a wedding and event planning, styling and creative direction atelier run by Antigoni Poulou, 11 Lochagou Vasileiou Kapota str., Agios Dimitrios 173 42, Athens, Greece (“we”, “us”). For anything about your personal data, write to hello@lamemoirette.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry through our form, by email or by telephone, we receive the details you give us — your name, email address, telephone number, the occasion, the date and location you have in mind, and your message. We use them for one purpose: to reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to plan your celebration. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and then the contract itself (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
When we plan an event together we may also hold guest names for seating and stationery, dietary notes, supplier details and photographs of the day. We use these only to deliver the event, on the basis of our agreement with you. Where a photograph shows a recognisable person and we would like to publish it on this site or on our social channels, we ask first.
When you visit the site our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the site running — our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)). Logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
Analytics and marketing measurement (Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel) run only after you have chosen “Accept all” in the cookie notice (consent, art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw that choice at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer. See our cookie policy.
We do not sell personal data and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Who else sees it
Only the people and services we need to reply to you and run the site: our web hosting provider in Greece, our email provider, and — once an event is confirmed — the suppliers working on your celebration, who receive only what they need (a florist does not need your guests’ dietary notes). Each of them is bound to use the data solely for that purpose. If you accept analytics and marketing cookies, anonymised usage data is processed by Google (Google Analytics 4) and Meta (the Meta Pixel) under their respective data processing terms and the EU standard contractual clauses. Otherwise your data stays within the European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an event are deleted within 24 months. Event files are kept for as long as we need them to deliver and account for the event, and then for the period Greek tax and accounting law requires (currently five years). You can ask us to delete earlier anything we are not legally obliged to keep.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it. Write to hello@lamemoirette.com; we reply within a month. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, Kifissias 1-3, 115 23 Athens, dpa.gr.
Children
We plan baptisms and family celebrations, so we sometimes hold a child’s first name and date for stationery — always provided by a parent or guardian, and used for nothing else. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are stored in our password-protected site administration and email, and are accessible only to us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with its date. This version is effective from 10 September 2026.
