Nefeli in Blush.

For little Nefeli’s baptism, her mother had a clear wish: something romantic, fairytale-like and unmistakably princess-inspired. Pink, a crown, castles and a carriage were the first images that shaped the creative direction.

For La Memoirette, the challenge was to take these familiar elements and interpret them differently. Not as another conventional princess theme, but as a small, refined fairytale world that felt as though it had been created especially for Nefeli.

At a white chapel in Kalamos, Attica, surrounded by pine trees and overlooking the sea, dusty pink and white roses, soft flowing fabrics and subtle gold details met the white and blue of the Greek landscape.

And for one afternoon, little Nefeli had a fairytale of her own.

A princess-inspired aesthetic did not need excess. It simply needed the right references.

A handmade carriage became the focal point of the setting outside the chapel. Layers of white and soft pink tulle added movement, while white, blush and dusty pink roses softened the composition. Gold candlesticks and subtle metallic details introduced a sense of royalty without making the theme feel literal.

The baptismal font followed the same visual language, framed with airy tulle and roses to create a soft setting around the Orthodox ceremony.

The result remained romantic and playful, but never obvious. A princess concept designed more like an illustration from a fairytale than a themed children’s party.

From the first invitation to the day of the baptism, Nefeli had her own small visual identity.

The stationery was designed specifically for the concept, while her name became part of the setting through the welcome sign and the different printed details created for the day. Even her godmother’s apron was custom-designed, allowing the practical details of the baptism to become part of the same visual language.

Pink, dusty pink, white and gold appeared throughout the stationery, flowers and styling, creating a cohesive identity without needing to repeat the princess theme literally at every turn.

II  ·  The chapel

The small chapel in Kalamos, Attica, brought something to the setting that could never have been designed: the Greek landscape itself.

Whitewashed walls, blue windows, stone paving, pine trees and the sea in the distance became the natural backdrop for the baptism. Rather than competing with the setting, the styling was designed around it.

After the ceremony, guests gathered outdoors beneath the pine trees, where a generous buffet of savoury and sweet treats and refreshing drinks continued the celebration.

And at the centre of it all was Nefeli.

A little girl with striking blue eyes, for whom this entire world had been imagined from the beginning. Perhaps that is why the fairytale felt so natural: because we never really needed to create a little princess.

We only needed to create the world around her.
